Fresh video surfaces of Ahmedabad plane crash site: Doctors seen escaping burning building

Ahmedabad: A new video has surfaced showing the horrifying moments following the crash of Air India Flight 171 near Meghani Nagar in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. The flight, en route to London, was carrying 242 people, including 12 crew members, when it crashed into a residential building. The latest video shows doctors jumping out of the Atulyam Hostel of BJ Medical College, which caught fire due to the crash.
In the video, flames are seen engulfing one side of the hostel. Three people are visible standing at the window of a room. One of them is seen escaping the blaze by climbing down the railing and then grabbing onto the window grille of another room to descend safely. Another man uses a bedsheet tied to the railing to climb down, while a third person is seen retreating back into the room.
At the time of the crash, around 50 doctors were present in the Atulyam Hostel. Several sustained injuries, and four doctors residing at the hostel lost their lives. One NEET aspirant also died, and five doctors on board the plane were confirmed dead. Rescue teams managed to evacuate many from the burning building. DeshGujarat
