24 hours rainfall data from across Gujarat; Surat city and South Gujarat dominate the list

Gandhinagar: 75 talukas and cities had around or more than 1 inch rainfall in 24 hours period ending Tuesday morning. The list is topped by Surat city that witnessed 346 mm rainfall which resulted into water logging and shut down of schools in the city.
Kamrej and Palsana were other two talukas where above 200 mm rainfall was witnessed in this period. Chorasi, Oplpad, Borsad, Dolvan and Tilakwada had over 100 mm rainfall, while Vyara, Mandvi, Navsari, Mangrol, Khambhat, Bharuch and Halol had above 75 mm rainfall.
The rainfall in this period was widespread in areas of South Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra regions. In all 170 talukas of Gujarat received rainfall in this period. IMD had issued forecast for further rains. DeshGujarat
