Six trains will not originate and terminate at Ahmedabad Railway Station for 70 days starting July 5

Ahmedabad: Six trains will not originate and terminate at the Ahmedabad railway station for at least 70 days during 5th of July to 12th of September 2025 according to Western Railway announcement.
These trains are to be shifted to Maninagar, Asarva and Vatva railway stations that are located within the city of Ahmedabad instead of Kalupur railway station which is popularly called as Ahmedabad railway station.
The shifting will take place due to ongoing redevelopment works at Ahmedabad railway station.
The trains to be shifted include 12932 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central AC Double Decker Express which will originate at Maninagar railway station from 7th of July and depart at 5.50 am.
The train 12655 Ahmedabad – Chennai Navjivan Express will leave from Asarva railway station at 21.05 hours from 5th July. The train 19034 Ahmedabad – Valsad Gujarat Queen will depart from Maninagar railway station from 5th of July at 18.20 hours.
Similarly three trains will terminate at Vatva and Asarva railway stations instead of Ahmedabad railway station.
The train Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad AC Double Decker Express will terminate at Vatva railway station at 21.20 hours from 5th of July. The train Chennai – Ahmedabad Navjivan Express will terminate at Asarva railway station at 18.20 hours from 4th of July. Another train Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Gujarat Super fast Express will terminate at Vatva railway station at 14.30 hours from 5th of July.
The passengers of these trains will need to travel to other areas of Ahmedabad from Vatva and Asarva railway stations instead of Kalupur based main Ahmedabad railway station. DeshGujarat
The Railways stated – ‘Ahmedabad Railway Station is being redeveloped into a world-class facility. As part of this project A block will be taken from 5th July to 12th September 2025 for piling work related to the construction of a Over Bridge and Concourse at Platform No. 8 by RLDA. During this period, Few train terminals will temporarily shift to Asarwa, Maninagar, and Vatva stations. Some trains will halt at Sabarmati instead of Ahmedabad (Kalupur) with revise timings.These changes will ease congestion at Ahmedabad station, improve operational flexibility, enhance passenger services and support faster execution of infrastructure upgrades.’
