CBSE Skill Expo & Guidance Festival 2025-26: Vadodara to host Ajmer Region event on July 21

Vadodara: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is organizing the Skill Expo & Guidance Festival 2025–26 in various selected cities across the country for its affiliated schools. As part of this initiative, the Ajmer Region’s Expo will be held in Vadodara on July 21.

According to CBSE, the event aims to provide students with information on future careers, essential skill sets, and clear guidance on career choices and pathways. It also seeks to raise awareness about diverse career opportunities among students. This initiative includes regional events across all CBSE regions, culminating in a national-level event. The goal is to encourage creativity, innovation, and peer learning among students, teachers, and principals.

The expo will be conducted in 16 cities across the nation. The Ajmer Region event will take place at Cygnus World School, located in the Harni area of Vadodara, on July 21, 2025. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Guidelines for Participation in the Skill Expo 2025–26

  • Schools must register using the given link : https://cbseit.in/cbse/2024/skillexpo/index.

  • Eligibility Categories:

    • Category I: Classes 6 to 10

    • Category II: Classes 11 to 12

  • Each school team per skill must consist of:

    • 1 teacher and 2 students

    • 1 mentor (skill teacher)

  • The expo will take place at two levels:

    • Regional

    • National

  • Schools can exhibit a minimum of one and a maximum of three exhibits based on the listed themes.

  • A maximum of three teams can be registered per school.

  • Registered names of students and mentor teachers cannot be changed.

  • Teams must remain the same from regional to national level.

  • Selected themes/sub-themes and skills cannot be changed later.

Projects/Exhibits May Include:

  • The process used to create an item/product

  • Application of entrepreneurship

  • Use of eco-friendly and innovative materials is encouraged

Submission Requirements:

  • Project title, description, list of materials, images, and video within the given timeframe

Assessment Criteria:

  • Creativity and Imagination – 20%

  • Originality and Innovativeness – 15%

  • Scientific Thought/Principle/Approach – 15%

  • Technical Skills, Workmanship, Craftsmanship – 15%

  • Entrepreneurship, Scalability, Social Utility – 15%

  • Economics (Low Cost), Portability, Durability – 10%

  • Presentation and Explanation – 10%

Guidelines for Participation in the Guidance Festival 2025–26

  • Separate registration is required for the Guidance Festival.

  • Each school may nominate 5 students and 2 teachers.

  • Participants must attend the full-day event (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) to be eligible for a certificate.

  • The Skill Expo can be visited during breaks and designated time slots.

  • All eligible attendees will receive a participation certificate.

  • Webinars and short sessions will be held beforehand to raise awareness.
