School teacher dies as dumper rams, drags her scooter for 20 feet in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A 46-year-old school teacher, Seema Mishra, lost her life after being hit by a speeding mixer dumper near Bhakti Circle in Nikol late Tuesday evening. Mishra, a resident of Naroda and a teacher at United School in Vastral, was riding her Activa scooter when the accident occurred. The dumper hit the woman and dragged both her and the vehicle for nearly 20 feet, which can be seen in the CCTV footage, resulting in her death on the spot.
According to the FIR filed by her brother, Rahul Trivedi, a resident of Khokhra, he received a call from her phone alerting him to the incident. When he arrived at the scene, he found her lying near her damaged scooter and the dumper involved in the crash. The accident took place around 7 pm while Seema was en route via the Mango Plus Cinema road. The dumper, reportedly speeding from the Bhakti Circle side, rammed into her two-wheeler.
Locals apprehended the driver, identified as 25-year-old Raju Maliwad from Dahod, currently residing in Kathwada, and handed him over to the police. A case has been registered by the I Division Traffic Police. DeshGujarat
