Heavy to very heavy rain likely in Gujarat during next 7 days: IMD weather forecast

Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange alerts for several districts in Gujarat, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next seven days, up to July 7. The alerts cover multiple regions across North Gujarat, South Gujarat, and Saurashtra-Kutch, along with the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

On July 1st, heavy rain is very likely at isolated places in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. In Saurashtra-Kutch, Amreli and Bhavnagar may also receive heavy showers.
On July 2nd, heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, Mahisagar, Navsari, Valsad, and the Union Territories. Heavy rain is also expected in Banaskantha, Mehsana, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, and in Amreli and Bhavnagar.
On July 3th, very heavy rain is expected in Banaskantha and Sabarkantha. Heavy rainfall is likely in Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, and the Union Territories, as well as Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Kutch, and Diu.
On July 4th, heavy rain is expected in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Dahod, Mahisagar, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Surendranagar. Saurashtra-Kutch districts like Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu are also on alert.
On July 5th, very heavy rain is forecast in Aravalli, Dahod, and Mahisagar. Heavy rain is likely in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Navsari, Valsad, and the Union Territories, as well as Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Kutch, and Diu.
On July 6th, very heavy rain is expected in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Navsari, Valsad, and the Union Territories. Other districts including Patan, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, and parts of Saurashtra-Kutch like Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Morbi, Kutch, and Diu may receive heavy showers.
On July 7th, heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Banaskantha and Sabarkantha, with heavy rain also expected in Patan, Mehsana, Aravalli, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and the Union Territories.
