Ahmedabad: A railway employee has been arrested for pelting stones at the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, which led to the shattering of three window panes. The incident occurred few days ago, when the semi high speed train train was passing under the Sabarmati Bridge.
Following orders from Senior DSC Bhavpreeta Soni, a team led by PI Shaktisinh Rajawat reviewed CCTV footage from cameras installed outside the train coach. The footage revealed that the person involved in the stone pelting was wearing a railway gangman’s uniform. Based on this evidence, the Senior Section Engineer (Rail Track) from the Sabarmati area identified the individual as railway employee Kanaiya Chabiwala. He was detained by the police.
During interrogation, Chabiwala confessed to pelting stones at the train out of frustration due to personal family issues. DehsGujarat
