State GST collection sees 11% rise from June 2024 to June 2025: Gujarat govt

Gandhinagar: In June 2025, the state of Gujarat earned a revenue of ₹6,150 crore under GST, which is 11% more than the ₹5,562 crore collected in June 2024. It is worth mentioning that the GST revenue growth at the national level for June 2025 was 6%, the Gujarat government said in an official statement.
During the same month, the state earned ₹2,833 crore from VAT, ₹876 crore from electricity charges, and ₹21 crore from business tax.
Thus, the State Tax Department collected a total revenue of ₹9,880 crore from GST, VAT, electricity charges, and business tax in June 2025.
Additionally, a revenue of ₹32.34 crore was generated through exploration work by the mobile squad, marking a 50.64% increase compared to ₹21.46 crore in the same month of the previous year. This is the highest monthly revenue recorded since the implementation of GST.
As part of the “GST Day” celebrations, the new logo of the State Tax Department was unveiled by the Hon’ble Finance Minister. The logo features blue, symbolizing communication and transparency, and gold, representing taxation and development. DeshGujarat
