ACB Gujarat nabs Revenue Talati in bribe case in Surat

Surat: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a Revenue Talati from the Abrama Mamlatdar’s Office in Mota Varachha, Surat city, in a bribe case involving ₹2,500.
According to the ACB, the complainant had planted mangoes on his land and submitted an application to the accused officer’s office requesting a crop planting certificate. In exchange for issuing the certificate promptly, the accused Revenue Talati, Hitesh Ambalal Desai (age 30), allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹3,000.
Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the ACB and filed a formal complaint. Based on the evidence and the complaint, a trap was laid. During the operation, the accused was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹2,500. DeshGujarat
