Parkshire residents approach Vadodara collector over harassment by Akshar builders

Vadodara: Allegations have surfaced against Akshar Builder Group for allegedly harassing the owner of a house in Parkshire, a residential society developed by Shashwat Infraspace in Kelanpur. On Wednesday, the house owners and residents approached the district collector’s office with their complaint.

According to reports, Nikul Mevada, who bought a house in Parkshire in 2020, was served a notice by the developer of the adjacent site, Akshar Builder, claiming that the land on which his house stands actually belongs to them. Following this, the builder reportedly arrived at the site with a JCB machine in an attempt to demolish the house. However, local residents called the police, and after police intervention, the situation was brought under control.

Later, the residents submitted a memorandum to the additional collector, alleging that the builder was unnecessarily harassing them and demanded that action be taken against Akshar Builder as per the law.

Speaking to the media, Nikul Mevada said, “We bought this house in 2020 and have all the legal documents and proof for the plot, for which we paid in full. Around 10 days ago, the developer of the neighbouring scheme served us a notice, claiming we built our house on his land, which is simply not possible. Today, he brought a JCB to demolish our house. We have requested the administration to protect us from this harassment, which is the result of a tussle between builders.”

Another resident, Vinay Chauhan, added, “In 2020, twelve houses in the society were purchased, along with additional land for which we built a compound wall. We took possession and have all the necessary proofs. About ten days ago, the neighbouring builder raised objections over this wall. Today, he arrived with goons and a JCB machine, trying to evict us. We called the police, who stopped them. We have now requested the district collector’s help, as the threat continues to loom over us despite having legal documents, all because of an ongoing dispute between two builders.” DeshGujarat
