Faceless Learning Licence System in Gujarat Faces Teething Troubles
July 18, 2025
Ahmedabad: The online faceless learning licence system, introduced by the RTO on July 7, is currently grappling with several teething challenges. Issues such as applicants losing all the fees if they fail the test, or the test getting paused if it detects movement by someone other than the applicant, are among the technical glitches of the new system. However, even with these glitches, the online system has garnered a great response, with Subhash Bridge RTO receiving over 500 applications.
As per reports, even within a week of its launch, 22 percent of the total learning licence applications across the state are already being submitted through the faceless process. Subhash Bridge RTO officer also stated that out of 508 applicants who have used the facility, 151 applicants have successfully cleared the online test. Some applications are pending because the applicants haven’t uploaded their documents, while others haven’t completed the fee payment.
Additionally, around 20 applications have been put on hold due to issues detected during the online test. In such cases, the RTO will call the applicants to clarify the problems and decide accordingly. DeshGujarat
