Gujarat govt to set up 90 new schools

Gandhinagar: In a major move to improve access to education across Gujarat, the state government has cleared the proposal to open 90 new government schools, comprising 85 secondary schools and five higher secondary schools.
Of these, 70 secondary schools are planned for non-tribal areas, while 15 will be established in tribal regions. To support this expansion, 350 new staff positions will be created, covering teaching assistants, administrative staff, and peons. According to officials from the state education department, the government has sanctioned Rs 13.45 crore for the recruitment process.
It is learnt that the five new higher secondary schools will be located at Vadia, Vadgam, Olpad, Gedi, and Dablara, and among them, three will offer science streams while two have been designated for general streams. DeshGujarat
