Jambusar Bulk Drug Park completion by March 2027; Gujarat CM visits the site

Bharuch: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today visited the Bulk Drug Park being developed in Jambusar, spread over 815 hectares (2,015 acres), and reviewed the progress of various ongoing construction works.
The Bulk Drug Park is being developed by GIDC under the Bulk Drug Park Policy announced by the Central Government in 2020. The project aims to boost self-reliance in medicine production by providing modern infrastructure.
As part of his visits to districts to review key ongoing projects, the Chief Minister inspected the work at this park and also planted trees within the premises. Officials briefed him about the entire project, which is planned at an estimated total cost of ₹3,920 crore and is expected to be completed by March 2027.
During his visit, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of common infrastructure facilities under construction, including the approach road, compound wall, internal roads, pre-cast rainwater drainage system, internal water supply system, and effluent disposal systems to connect the Bulk Drug Park to the main road. He also offered necessary suggestions to officials. Development of these common infrastructure facilities and other works is being carried out at an estimated cost of ₹550 crore.
