AMC Records Revenue Surplus of ₹2,074.11 Crore for FY 2024-25

Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) tabled its accounts for the financial year 2024-25 at a standing committee meeting on Thursday. According to these accounts, the civic body recorded a revenue income of ₹7,944.96 crore against a revenue expenditure of ₹5,870.85 crore, resulting in a revenue surplus of ₹2,074.11 crore, which is ₹615.30 crore higher than the previous year. The surplus will be utilized for various development projects across the city in the coming year.
The revenue includes ₹1,044 crore from octroi compensation provided by the state government. AMC collected ₹815.99 crore from taxes, ₹2,191.32 crore from non-tax revenue, and ₹1,319.83 crore through grants and subsidies.
AMC also reported a capital income of ₹3,421.77 crore, compared to a capital expenditure of ₹5,419.80 crore. The capital income includes ₹100 crore from a World Bank loan, ₹58.60 crore from MLA/MP grants, ₹2,268.53 crore under the Swarnim Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme, ₹212.18 crore from Finance Commission grants, ₹226.09 crore from sports complex grants, and ₹229.92 crore under the Amrut Scheme.
