Further air connectivity between Gujarat and Bihar; Star Air to Launch Purnia – Ahmedabad Flight Service

Ahmedabad/Purniya: Residents of Seemanchal and Kosi districts will soon enjoy direct air connectivity to Gujarat, as Star Air launches its Purnia–Ahmedabad flight service under the Government of India’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).
The service will be formally inaugurated on September 15 with the opening of Purnia Airport, while regular operations will begin from September 29. The one-way fare has been fixed at ₹5,800.
According to Star Air, the two-and-a-half-hour flight will depart Ahmedabad at 12:15 pm, reaching Purnia at 2:45 pm, before returning at 3:15 pm and landing in Ahmedabad by 5:45 pm. Services will operate three days a week – Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Online booking has already opened on the Star Air portal.
Purnia becomes Star Air’s 29th destination and its first in Bihar. “The new route will boost business, tourism, and cultural exchange between Gujarat and Bihar while strengthening regional connectivity,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer, Star Air. DeshGujarat
