Gujarat Assembly Monsoon Session Concludes

Gandhinagar: The monsoon session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly concluded today. On its final day, the Assembly saw the presentation of the CAG report, along with three bills. During the three-day session, a total of 225 starred questions were submitted for oral answers, of which 29 were discussed in detail on the floor of the House.

Five government bills were passed during the session. Additionally, a government resolution was unanimously adopted, congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the success of Operation Sindoor.

Among the key legislations, the Assembly passed the Factories Act (Gujarat Amendment) Bill, 2025. Labor and Employment Minister Balvantsinh Rajput, while introducing the bill, stated that the amendment will allow women to work legally in night shifts with their consent. He described the move as an important step to uphold women workers’ constitutional rights to equality, profession, independence, and economic empowerment.

The Assembly also passed the Gujarat Medical Practitioners (Amendment) Bill, introduced by Health Minister Rushikesh Patel. The bill aims to streamline the registration process for Ayurvedic and Unani practitioners and maintain an updated state register of such doctors. DeshGujarat
