Talala Police Register Case Against 20 After Communal Clash Over Motorcycle Collision

Gir-Somnath: Talala town witnessed unrest on Wednesday after a minor motorcycle collision near Gundaran railway gate escalated into a violent clash between youths from the Ahir and Sidi Badshah communities.
According to police, what began as a verbal argument quickly drew large groups from both communities, leading to a street brawl that lasted over 30 minutes. Later, the conflict spilled over to the government hospital where injured youths were taken for treatment. Despite the presence of police, another fight broke out there, lasting 15–20 minutes. Stones and wooden sticks were reportedly used, leaving five people injured, including two seriously.
Though no individual complaints were filed, Talala Town Jamadar Ramshibhai Valabhai Parmar lodged an official complaint naming 20 people from both communities. The accused include several local residents and an army man currently serving in Ayodhya.
Based on the complaint, Talala PI J. N. Gadhvi registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, including charges of rioting, assault, obstructing lawful duty, and violating the District Magistrate’s notification. Police said the clashes not only disrupted peace but also created fear and communal tension in the city.
Accused named in the FIR include:Mustafa Mohammed Chowat (alias Lukho), Rizwan Subhan Chotiyara (alias Batuk), Arbaaz Mehboob Makwana, Rafael Babu Makwana, Faridwala Yusufbhai Bhalia, Hafiz Chotiyara, Sahil Dilipbhai Chotiyara, Yunus Hasambhai Makwana, Yarodad Chotiyara, Imran Jusab Chotiyara, Danish Yusuf Majgul, Fakhruddin Majgul (Talala Gir), Asif Shahenshah Darjada (Surwa Gir), Nawsad Anwar Majgul (Thordi), Hanif Kader Makwana (Moruka Gir), Toshif Makwana (Army personnel, Ayodhya), Ashish Rajeshbhai Solanki, Rohit Arjanbhai Ram, Jaideep Maheshbhai Solanki (Gundaran Gir), and Vipulbhai Bhimshibhai Solanki (Pipalwa Gir).
