Sambhajinagar: Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak Madhubhai Kulkarni passed away this afternoon at Dr. Hedgewar Hospital in Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). He was 88 years old.

Madhubhai played a pivotal role in guiding Prime Minister Narendra Modi into the political arena. While Modi was serving as a prant pracharak (division-level RSS worker), Madhubhai was the prant pracharak of Gujarat and advised him to enter politics.

Madhubhai had joined the Sangh in 1942 and had been working as a pracharak since 1962 in Sambhajinagar before being assigned to Gujarat. There, he actively contributed to the growth and organization of the RSS, holding responsibilities at the division, prant, and regional levels. Kulkarni served as the provincial pracharak of Gujarat from 1984 to 1996.

In recent years, due to old age, Madhubhai resided in Sambhajinagar. His health had deteriorated recently, and he was admitted to the hospital. Two weeks ago, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat personally met him to check on his health.

Madhubhai had pledged to donate his body for medical research. In accordance with his last wish, his mortal remains will be taken to the Ramchandra Institute of Medical Sciences, R.K. Damani Medical College, Sambhajinagar. Before that, his body will be kept at the Samarpan Karyalaya for public homage today from 1 pm to 5 pm. DeshGujarat
