Ahmedabad: In a shocking act of revenge, an 11-year-old boy poured a flammable liquid on a businessman’s Fortuner and set it ablaze following an alleged dispute with the car-owner’s son.
According to a complaint filed at Khokhra police station, Sagar Parmar, a resident of Maheshwarinagar who owns a petrol pump in Kheda, had parked his Fortuner near the Hatkeshwar crematorium while cleaning work was being carried out at the society temple on Wednesday. Later in the evening, a neighbor informed him that the vehicle was on fire. Sagar and his family rushed to the scene and tried to extinguish the flames using water and fire extinguishers, while also calling the fire brigade. The fire team eventually brought the blaze under control.
CCTV footage later revealed that the 11-year-old boy had poured a flammable liquid on the car and set it on fire before fleeing the scene. During the investigation, police discovered that Sagar’s son had earlier fought with the boy and slapped him, prompting the minor to take revenge through this act of arson. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
