September 20, 2025
Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Gujarat today faced an unexpected challenge when bad weather grounded his helicopter at Lothal.
PM Modi, who addressed a public meeting in Bhavnagar this morning, traveled to Lothal from there via helicopter while also undertaking an aerial survey of Dholera SIR. After that, he reviewed the progress of Asia’s largest National Maritime Heritage Museum project under construction and inspected the completed works.
However, when he had to depart for Ahmedabad, PM Modi’s helicopter could not operate due to bad weather, forcing him to travel the 100 km distance to Ahmedabad by road.
Furthermore, traffic jams were reported on Bawla, Bagodra, and Changodar highways, with vehicles stuck for over an hour in some areas as the PM had to take a long drive to Ahmedabad. PM’s convoy also witnessed some waterlogging on the Sardar Patel Ring Road, as the city has been receiving rainfall since morning. DeshGujarat
