Watch | PM Modi Undertakes Aerial Survey of Dholera SIR During His Gujarat Visit

Dholera: During his visit to Gujarat today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), envisioned as a greenfield industrial city emphasizing sustainable industrialization, smart infrastructure, and global investment.
Following this, he is scheduled to visit and assess the progress of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at Lothal, a project costing around Rs 4,500 crore, aimed at celebrating India’s ancient maritime heritage while serving as a hub for tourism, research, education, and skill development.
Earlier in Bhavnagar, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several maritime sector projects worth over Rs 34,200 crore. Key initiatives include:

Inauguration of the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal at Indira Dock.

Foundation stone for a new container terminal at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, and associated facilities.

Container berth and cargo handling developments at Paradip Port.

Tuna Tekra Multi-Cargo Terminal; firefighting and road connectivity facilities at Kamarajar Port, Ennore.

Coastal protection works, including sea walls and revetments, at Chennai Port and Car Nicobar Island.

Multi-purpose cargo berth and Green Bio-Methanol Plant at Deendayal Port, Kandla.

Ship repair facilities at Patna and Varanasi.
In line with his focus on holistic and sustainable development, PM Modi also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple central and state government projects in Gujarat, totaling over Rs 26,354 crore, spanning energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and urban development. Highlights include:

HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port.

Acrylics & Oxo Alcohol Project at Gujarat IOCL Refinery.

600 MW Green Shoe Initiative and PM-KUSUM 475 MW Component C solar feeder for farmers.

45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project and complete solarization of Dhordo village.

Foundation stones for LNG infrastructure, additional renewable energy projects, coastal protection works, highway expansions, and healthcare facilities, including upgrades at Sir T. General Hospital (Bhavnagar), Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital (Jamnagar), and four-laning of 70 km of national highways.
