ACB Gujarat nabs Newspaper Journo, his wife

Himatnagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed a newspaper journalist and his wife in a bribe case involving a sum of ₹4 lakh.

According to the ACB, accused Ketan Kumar Patel, a weekly news correspondent with Divya Bhaskar and an RTI activist, demanded ₹5 lakh from the complainant to expedite the disposal of a complaint filed with the ACB. Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached ACB officials, who set a trap. During the sting operation, Ketan Kumar Patel was caught accepting ₹4 lakh from the complainant and handing the cash to his wife, Meenaben Patel.
