Low Pressure System:

Meanwhile, yesterday’s well-marked low-pressure area over West Vidarbha and adjoining north Maharashtra moved west-northwestwards and lay over the Gulf of Cambay and neighbourhood at 0830 hours IST on 29th September 2025. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level, tilting southwestwards with height. It is likely to continue moving west-northwestwards across Saurashtra and emerge into the northeast Arabian Sea around 1st October 2025, with a possibility of intensifying into a depression.

Additionally, a trough extends from the low-pressure area over the Gulf of Cambay and neighbourhood to the west-central Bay of Bengal across south Gujarat, Vidarbha, south Chhattisgarh, south Odisha, and north coastal Andhra Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level.

The line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon continues to pass through 20°N/69°E, Veraval, Bharuch, Ujjain, Jhansi, Shahjahanpur and 30°N/81°E. DeshGujarat
