Gujarat govt to purchase paddy, bajra, jowar, ragi and maize at MSP; registration from Oct 1

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today announced that it will procure various crops at Minimum Support Prices (MSP) to ensure farmers receive remunerative prices for their produce. According to an official statement, Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited will directly purchase paddy, bajra, jowar, ragi, and maize at MSPs during the Kharif Marketing Season 2025–26.
For this season, the MSP rates have been fixed as follows:

Paddy (Common): ₹2,369 per quintal

Paddy (Grade-A): ₹2,389 per quintal

Maize: ₹2,400 per quintal

Bajra: ₹2,775 per quintal

Jowar (Hybrid): ₹3,699 per quintal

Jowar (Maldandi): ₹3,749 per quintal

Ragi: ₹4,886 per quintal
In addition, the state government will provide a bonus of ₹300 per quintal on bajra, jowar, and ragi, over and above the MSP.
Registration Details
Farmers wishing to sell their crops at MSP must complete online registration. Registration will be open from October 1 to October 31, 2025, either through Village Computer Entrepreneurs (VCEs) at the village level or at corporation godowns at the taluka level, with biometric authentication of the farmer account holder.
Procurement will take place between November 1, 2025, and January 30, 2026.

Certificate from the Talati (village revenue officer) in case crop sowing details are not recorded in land records

Bank account details (copy of passbook or cancelled cheque)
The corporation has urged farmers to carefully upload clear and valid documents during registration, as incorrect or false submissions will result in cancellation of their registration and exclusion from procurement.
Registered farmers will receive SMS notifications regarding purchase details. During procurement, they must carry their Aadhaar card/identity proof, and all purchases will be completed only after biometric authentication of the farmer account holder.
