Three Heritage Houses in Khadia Sealed for Illegal Commercial Use
October 04, 2025
Ahmedabad, October 4:The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today sealed three heritage houses in the Khadia area after they were found to be used for commercial purposes in violation of approved norms.
According to officials, the properties — located in Kasumbawad Doshiwada Ni Pol, Devasana Pado, and Sonina Khacha — had been approved and renovated as residential heritage structures under the city’s heritage conservation guidelines. However, subsequent inspections revealed that the premises were being used for commercial activities, which is prohibited.
The action was taken following a detailed verification by AMC’s Heritage and Estate departments, which confirmed commercial use of the properties.
