Martino’s Pizza outlet sealed by AMC just a day after opening

Ahmedabad: The Martino’s Pizza outlet in Prahladnagar, which had announced free pizza distribution on Sunday on its opening day, was sealed by the Solid Waste Management (SWM) department of the South-West Zone of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday morning. The action was taken after the outlet allegedly threw garbage on the public road, creating a mess outside the premises.
According to reports, over 1,000 people had gathered at the Venus Atlantis Complex on Sunday to avail of the free pizza offer. Following the event, garbage was reportedly dumped on the road in front of the complex by the outlet. Despite prior instructions to not litter and to place dustbins outside, the outlet violated norms, prompting the AMC team to seal it immediately upon inspection.
This action comes a day after another outlet of the same pizza chain in the University area was sealed by the civic body after unhygienic conditions and pest infestation were found in the kitchen. DeshGujarat
