Junagadh Police Invoke GujCTOC Against Notorious ‘Bangla Gang’

Junagadh: Junagadh police have invoked the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organized Crime (GujCTOC) Act against the notorious “Bangla gang” for its alleged involvement in organized crime.
The gang is linked to multiple offenses, including murder, attempted murder, theft, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, assault, Arms Act violations, and illegal gambling. They are also accused of illegally acquiring properties, including a bungalow on Zanzarda Road, which served as their base.
A GujCTOC case was registered against Bhavin, Karsan, Dilip, Nilesh, and Lakho Rabari by Junagadh Taluka police. Karsan, with eight cases pending, has been arrested, while searches for the others are ongoing. Bhavin faces 14 cases, Dilip seven, Nilesh ten, and Lakho nine, mostly for violent crimes and illegal activities.
Preliminary investigations indicate 30 complaints against the gang, with 14 offenses showing direct links among its members. Authorities are intensifying efforts to apprehend the remaining accused. DeshGujarat
