October 18, 2025
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today announced that all Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) employees will now receive a ‘Festive Advance’ of ₹10,000.
The decision comes shortly after Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi took charge of the office and held meetings with senior officials of various departments under his supervision. In a key meeting with senior officials of the GSRTC, he announced significant decisions aimed at benefiting over 36,000 employees of the corporation and their families, who work tirelessly to provide timely and reliable transport services across the state.
Previously, only fixed-salary employees were entitled to a maximum advance of ₹5,000. The Deputy Chief Minister decided to double the amount and extend this benefit to all employees in his very first meeting.
In addition, a Swachhta and Jal Bachao Special Drive will be conducted across all RTO offices and ST bus stations in the state from 26th to 30th October. As part of this campaign, repair work for leaking taps and other maintenance activities will be carried out to promote cleanliness and water conservation.
“These measures are aimed at recognizing the hard work of GSRTC employees while promoting cleanliness and water conservation across the state,” said Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi. DeshGujarat
