Reckless firecracker bursting claims life of 16-year-old girl in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A tragic incident in the New Ranip area has claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl after a reckless act of bursting firecrackers turned fatal. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community.
According to reports, three youths were bursting firecrackers by placing them inside an iron pipe on a public road in a highly careless and dangerous manner. During the act, the pipe suddenly shot off with force and struck the forehead of the teenage girl who happened to be passing by. The impact was severe, causing her to collapse on the spot.
She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by emergency services, but despite doctors’ efforts, she succumbed to her head injuries during treatment. What was meant to be a festive evening turned into grief and mourning for her family and the neighborhood.
Following the incident, the girl’s father filed a complaint with the Sabarmati Police Station. Police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the three youths involved and have launched an investigation. All three accused have been rounded up, two of whom are minors.
Authorities are examining CCTV footage from the area and recording witness statements. Officials stated that strict legal action will be taken to ensure such reckless and hazardous behavior is not repeated in the future. DeshGujarat
