‘Gujarat to get another Vande Bharat Express Train soon’

Bhavnagar: Bhavnagar is likely to be connected with the prestigious Vande Bharat Express soon, Union Minister of State and Bhavnagar MP Nimuben Bambhania announced during a New Year meet on Sunday. She also said efforts are underway to secure IndiGo Airlines connectivity for the city.

The announcement came at a friendly New Year gathering organized by the MP at her Public Relations Office, Shiva Blessing, Waghawadi Road, to mark the beginning of the Vikram Samvat 2082 year. The event saw a large turnout of party workers, leaders, corporators, industrialists, and citizens.

Efforts for Bhavnagar–Surat Vande Bharat

Bambhania said a survey is already underway for a new railway line between Bhavnagar and Dholera SIR, while the Bhavnagar–Ayodhya train has received approval from the Railway Minister. “The people of Bhavnagar have long demanded Vande Bharat connectivity to Surat, and I am making continuous efforts to make it a reality soon,” she said.

She added that plans are also being pursued to connect Bhavnagar by air through IndiGo Airlines, which will significantly improve regional connectivity and boost trade and tourism.

Grain ATMs in All Gujarat Constituencies

Speaking on welfare initiatives, the MP said that the successful Grain ATM model in Bhavnagar—where ration can be withdrawn round-the-clock without queues—will be expanded across all constituencies in Gujarat. “My aim is to ensure that every citizen can access food grains conveniently using technology-driven solutions,” she said.

Call for ‘Vocal for Local’

Extending New Year greetings to residents of Bhavnagar and Botad, Bambhania reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Vocal for Local’ and urged citizens to use more indigenous products. “We are collectively working to accelerate the Prime Minister’s vision of self-reliant India through local industry and innovation,” she said.

Prominent Attendees

The event was attended by Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani, City BJP President Kumar Shah, former MLA Sejalben Pandya, Standing Committee Chairman Rajubhai Rabadiya, along with several former office bearers, industrialists, and local leaders who extended New Year wishes.
