Man in Surat orders veg food on Zomato app, but receive non-veg

Surat: A young man from Adajan had ordered Aalu Sabji from a veg restaurant on the afternoon of Bhai Bij on October 23rd through the Zomato app. Instead of Aalu Sabji, the delivery boy delivered non-veg food Inda (eggs) Biryani from a different restaurant, hurting the feelings of the family on the holy day. However, the delivery boy later admitted his mistake and apologized and refunded the money for the order, but this mistake on the day of the festival has brought a long-lasting bad experience.

The joy of ordering food online from home to enjoy with family online during festivals is a unique and pleasant souvenir.

Instead of sitting in a crowd and getting food outside, most families now order their favorite dishes through online platforms.  A young man living in Adajan Casa Riviera ordered aloo sabji from a restaurant named P. Bhagat Tarachand through the Zomato application at around 12 noon on October 23, as it was the festival of Bhai Bij. The delivery boy, Dharmendra Kumar Patel, replaced this order with non-veg food.

The family was stunned when the egg biryani arrived in a parcel. It is natural that the festival mood of the family is turned off when non-veg food is served instead of pure veg vegetables. There was an uproar in the family after receiving this delivery that hurt religious sentiments. They immediately contacted the customer care of the online platform. The delivery boy admitted his mistake and apologized to the family for this matter. The money paid for the aloo sabji was also refunded, but the festival mood that was spoiled was impossible to compensate for and there is no doubt that this festive experience may prove to be a long-lasting trauma for the family.
