Rain in 28 Districts, 82 Talukas Across Gujarat in 12 Hours Ending Sunday Evening

Gandhinagar: Unseasonal showers continued in several parts of Gujarat on Sunday, with the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) reporting rainfall in 82 talukas across 28 districts during the 12-hour period ending at 6 p.m. on October 26, 2025.

The heaviest rainfall was recorded in Jalalpore taluka of Navsari district, which received 2.13 inches, followed by Sutrapada in Gir Somnath (1.69 inches) and Khergam in Navsari (1.54 inches). Most of the rainfall was concentrated over South Gujarat and Saurashtra, while parts of Central Gujarat and the tribal belt saw moderate showers.

Light rainfall ranging between 0.04 and 0.47 inches was reported in 69 other talukas, including parts of Surat, Valsad, Amreli, Narmada, Panchmahals, Bharuch, Vadodara, and Anand districts.

Officials said the spell of rain was mainly due to a moisture-laden system over the Arabian Sea, and the weather is likely to turn dry over most parts of the state in the next 24 hours.

Gandhinagar: Rainfall activity was recorded across several parts of Gujarat during the 24 hours ending Sunday morning 6 am, with 71 talukas in 19 districts receiving measurable rain, according to data from the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), Gandhinagar.

The heaviest rainfall was reported from Navsari taluka of Navsari district, which received 6.18 inches, followed by Umbergaon in Valsad (3.66 inches) and Sutrapada in Gir Somnath (3.54 inches).

Moderate showers between one and two inches were reported in several other areas including Surat, Valsad, Tapi, and the Dangs districts.

Officials said rainfall was largely concentrated in South Gujarat, while Saurashtra and Central Gujarat saw light to very light rain in isolated pockets.
