The incident reportedly took place on Sunday night when a man named Ajay Chavda brought his ailing niece to Sola Civil Hospital for treatment. At the time, no doctor was present in the ward. After some time, a woman doctor arrived and allegedly spoke rudely to the patient’s family regarding the use of a thermometer. When Chavda began recording the incident on his phone, the doctor allegedly snatched the device and refused to provide treatment.
The video clearly shows the doctor confronting the person recording the footage. Chavda alleged that the doctor refused treatment, saying, “You have misbehaved with me. I will not treat your child. Go wherever you want—even to the Chief Minister.”
Taking note of the viral video, Health Minister Praful Pansheriya directed the Health Secretary to conduct an immediate and impartial investigation. The minister stated that strict action would be taken against any medical staff or officer found guilty of misbehaving with patients or their attendants. DeshGujarat
