Kim: A car traveling late at night on the incomplete stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Sialaj village in Mangrol taluka overturned in the mud after following directions from Google Maps. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when an Eeco car mistakenly entered the under-construction section of the expressway due to lack of barricading and lighting.
According to sources, the driver, unaware that the road ahead was incomplete and covered in mud, continued driving until the vehicle got stuck and overturned. Fortunately, all passengers escaped without injuries.
The accident came to light the next morning when workers resumed construction on the expressway. The contractor noticed the overturned vehicle and used machinery to lift and remove the car from the mud.
Local residents have raised concerns about the absence of clear signage, lighting, and barricades at the site, warning that similar incidents could recur if safety measures are not promptly implemented. DeshGujarat
