Daily Special Train Between Veraval and Gandhidham for Girnar Parikrama From October 31

Junagadh: To manage the expected surge of passengers during the Girnar Parikrama Mela in Junagadh, Western Railway has announced a daily special train service between Veraval and Gandhidham at special fares. The service aims to provide additional travel convenience for devotees and visitors attending the annual pilgrimage.
According to Atul Kumar Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Bhavnagar Division, train number 09226 (Veraval–Gandhidham Special) will depart from Veraval at 9:20 p.m. and reach Gandhidham at 8:00 a.m. the next day. This service will operate daily from October 31 to November 10, 2025.
In the return direction, train number 09225 (Gandhidham–Veraval Special) will leave Gandhidham at 10:00 p.m. and arrive at Veraval at 8:45 a.m. the following morning. This train will run daily from November 1 to November 11, 2025.
The special train will halt at major stations including Maliya Hatina, Keshod, Junagadh, Jetalsar, Virpur, Gondal, Bhaktinagar, Rajkot, Surendranagar Junction, Wadhwan City, Botad, Dhandhuka, Dholka, Bavla, and Sarkhej.
The train composition will include Third AC, Sleeper, and General coaches. The General and SLR coaches will remain unreserved, and tickets can be purchased through UTS counters. Fares equivalent to Superfast Mail/Express trains will apply.
Ticket booking for the special service will begin on October 30 (Thursday). The initiative is expected to provide smoother and more comfortable travel options for devotees and tourists visiting Junagadh for the annual Girnar Parikrama.
