Traffic Restrictions / Diversions announced in parts of Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The city police have announced temporary traffic restrictions and diversions in certain parts of Ahmedabad on Thursday, October 31, 2025, in view of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations and a march rally to be held in the Navrangpura area.
According to an official notification issued by Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik, IPS, under Section 33(1)(b)(c) of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951, the restrictions will be enforced to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety during the event.
Restricted Routes (5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on October 31):
Traffic movement for all types of vehicles will be prohibited on the route starting from Ladli Crossroads → Sardar Patel Bawla Crossroads → Mohanlal Mithaiwala Crossroads → Stadium Circle → Income Tax Underpass → Income Tax Crossroads.
Alternative Routes:

Vehicles can use the route via Sardar Patel Bawla Crossroads → Usmanpura Underpass → NABARD Crossroads → Usmanpura Crossroads → Income Tax Overbridge → Bhuttasingh Crossroads → Navrangpura Railway Crossing → Navrangpura Crossroads → Swastik Crossroads → C.G. Road.

Traffic from Dr. Amin Crossroads can use Narangpura Crossroads → Narangpura Crossing → Ashram Road.
The order will remain effective from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on October 31, 2025.
Exemptions:
The restriction will not apply to vehicles associated with the event, emergency services such as fire brigade and ambulances, or vehicles on government duty.
The notification further states that violation of this order will invite action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Section 131 of the Gujarat Police Act. All police officers and personnel under the Ahmedabad Commissionerate, from constable rank upwards, have been authorized to register complaints against violators under these provisions. DeshGujarat
