Viral video shows Tiku Talsania, Mansi Parekh, others performing stunts on Ahmedabad roads

Ahmedabad: While ordinary citizens are routinely penalized for traffic violations, actors from the upcoming Gujarati film Misri were seen performing dangerous stunts on city roads during a promotional rally on Wednesday. Videos of the incident went viral on social media, sparking widespread criticism. Following the uproar, Ahmedabad Police registered a case and launched legal proceedings against those involved.

Veteran actor Tiku Talsania was seen riding a bike on public roads along with other members of the film crew — some without helmets and others standing on moving two-wheelers. National Award-winning actress Mansi Parekh was also spotted riding pillion on one such bike and could be seen in the viral video striking the iconic Titanic pose while navigating a speed breaker, narrowly avoiding an accident.

The promotional videos, which circulated rapidly online, drew sharp backlash from residents who demanded strict action. Many criticized the actors for setting a poor example and insisted that celebrities should not receive preferential treatment when breaking traffic laws.

Meanwhile, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) N. N. Chaudhari told the media that he was unaware whether permission had been granted for the rally. “Whether it’s riding without a helmet or performing stunts — anyone breaking the rules will face action,” he said.

The A Division Traffic Police Station has registered a case under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 177 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act for recklessly and carelessly performing stunts on public roads in a manner that endangered lives.

The FIR mentions that a Jeep (GJ-24-AA-1275), a motorcycle (GJ-01-A-1121), and several unidentified two- and four-wheeler drivers were involved in performing reckless stunts at high speed, endangering their own lives and those of others. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the identified vehicle owners, and an investigation is underway to trace the remaining participants seen in the viral footage.

Police have stated that actors Tiku Talsania, Prem Gadhvi, and Jesal Jadeja will face action under the Motor Vehicles Act. A statement has already been recorded from the film’s producer, Sanjay Soni. However, since Mansi Parekh was seen only as a pillion rider, no action has been taken against her as of now. DeshGujarat
