Gujarat CM puts ‘Toshakhana’ gifts for public auction; Silver Gada most expensive

Gandhinagar: Continuing its tradition, the Gujarat government has once again decided to auction the gifts and mementoes received by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at public events, official visits, and various ceremonies through an e-auction. The proceeds from this online auction will be utilized for the noble cause of promoting girls’ education in the state.

The e-auction will be conducted from November 1 to November 30, 2025, through the specially launched portal — https://cmgujmemento.gujarat.gov.in. Citizens from across the country can participate in the auction. The portal was originally launched on October 2, 2024.

Noble Objective: Empowering Girls’ Education

The highlight of this initiative lies in its purpose. The government has decided to channel all proceeds from the auction towards the education and empowerment of girls under the Kanya Kelavani initiative. Participants in this auction not only get to own unique artistic pieces but also contribute to a socially responsible cause — strengthening the foundation of Gujarat’s education sector.

Transparency and Equal Opportunity

The e-auction portal ensures transparency, accessibility, and ease of participation. Earlier, such auctions were organized at the state level through public events or managed by district collectors, limiting participation. Now, through this online platform, citizens from any part of India can participate, reflecting administrative efficiency and democratic inclusiveness.
