Stray Dog Menace: 11-year-old boy dies after rabid dog attack in Banaskantha

Banaskantha: A tragic incident has been reported from Jivana, a village in Dhanera taluka, where an 11-year-old boy lost his life after being bitten by a rabid dog.
According to details received, Alpesh Shantibhai Majirana, a resident of Jivana village, was attacked and bitten by a rabid dog on October 13, 2025. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, where doctors provided intensive medical care for several days. However, despite all efforts, Alpesh succumbed to the severe rabies infection.
The sudden loss of the young boy has left his family devastated. The entire Jivana village and local community are mourning the untimely death of the promising child.
This tragic incident has once again raised serious concerns over the growing menace of stray and rabid dogs in the Dhanera region.
