Vadodara RTO driving test track to remain shut for 13 days
November 03, 2025
Vadodara: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) at Darjipura in Vadodara will suspend driving tests for 13 days, from November 10 to 23, to facilitate the installation of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based driving test facility on its automated driving test track.
All driving test appointments scheduled during this period have been rescheduled, and applicants will receive updated appointment details on their registered mobile numbers, officials said.
The repair and upgrade work are part of the state government’s initiative to modernize driving test tracks across Gujarat by integrating AI-powered systems aimed at improving transparency and accuracy in the testing process.
The existing test track at the Vadodara RTO currently operates on sensor-based technology, where results are determined based on whether a vehicle touches the sensors during the test. The new system will integrate 10 to 15 AI-enabled CCTV cameras covering both two-wheeler and four-wheeler tracks.
These high-resolution cameras will monitor every movement of applicants during the test, as well as automated traffic signals to assist them through various stages such as reverse parking and slope climbing.
The AI-enabled driving test system has already been implemented at the Aravalli RTO, and Vadodara will be among the next RTOs in Gujarat to adopt this modernized, technology-driven testing process. DeshGujarat
