November 04, 2025
Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Gujarat later this month, likely on November 15 and 16.
During the trip, the Prime Minister is expected to take part in a special programme commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of tribal leader Bhagwan Birsa Munda. He is also likely to review the progress of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project.
According to reports, the Prime Minister will specifically assess the ongoing construction work between Surat and Bilimora, as well as the broader progress of the project stretching from the southern part of Gujarat to Mumbai.
The review aims to evaluate the current status of the bullet train infrastructure, as the Railways aims to make the first 50-km stretch between Surat and Bilimora operational by 2027. The plans include a site inspection, following which PM Modi may hold a high-level meeting with railway officials to discuss the project’s timeline, challenges, and next steps. DeshGujarat
