Kutch: A team of 30 senior IPS officers, led by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, will visit various villages along the India-Pakistan border tomorrow. The primary objective of the visit is to conduct a comprehensive review of the border areas and engage directly with the villagers, an official statement said.

As per the itinerary, Sanghavi will reach Bhuj Circuit House on the morning of November 6, from where his official program will begin. The visit will include meetings with Sarpanches and villagers, night “khatla” meetings, and dialogue sessions. The team will also interact closely with women and youth to understand the challenges faced by the local population.

The review will cover a range of important issues, including health, education, infrastructure, sanitation, and security.

A special meeting has been scheduled with BSF officials to discuss border security, anti-national activities, and border patrol operations. The visit will also include dialogues with BSF personnel to assess the security situation along the border.

As part of the initiative, Sanghavi will stay overnight in a local Bhatigal residence, a traditional “Desi Bhunga.” He has instructed all senior officers to stay in the villages instead of circuit houses or hotels, allowing them to experience village life firsthand and understand the villagers’ challenges more deeply.
