November 08, 2025
Gandhinagar: In a significant step, the Gujarat Cyber Crime Center of Excellence has uncovered a large-scale “mule account” network operating across multiple districts in the state. As per the information shared by the Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, the network was running in cities like Morbi, Surendranagar, Surat, and Savarkundla, with direct financial links traced to Pakistan.
The network, which ran over 100 mule accounts, was linked to 386 cybercrime cases across India, involving frauds exceeding ₹200 crore.
The Gujarat Cyber Crime team traced the money flow through seven layers, starting from Indian bank accounts to cryptocurrency transactions in USDT. Investigations revealed that ₹10 crore was transferred to a Pakistani Binance USDT account, which has cumulatively received over ₹25 crore from Indian accounts. It has come to light that this gang was one of the major sources of cross-border financial fraud. DeshGujarat
