Nadiad: In a near-fatal accident, a college girl sustained serious injuries after her throat was cut by a banned Chinese kite string while she was riding her Activa near the Jai Manav Seva Parivar Sanstha. The kite string, which is illegal, got stuck around her neck, causing severe bleeding. She was immediately rushed to Nadiad Civil Hospital, where timely medical intervention saved her life.
The victim said, “I was riding when the rope suddenly got stuck in my throat. I had no idea what had happened. When I tried to free myself, I realized it was a Chinese plastic string. The incident happened so fast that I could hardly react.”
Locals and authorities have raised concerns over the continued illegal sale and use of Chinese strings, despite official bans and repeated warnings. DeshGujarat
