Ahmedabad: Gujarat continued to witness cooler-than-normal temperatures on Wednesday, with several districts reporting significantly below-normal minimum temperatures. However, in a mild relief, the mercury has risen by a few degrees over the past two days.
In key cities, Ahmedabad recorded a maximum of 29.6°C, 3°C below normal, and a minimum of 15.1°C. Surat registered 32.2°C as the maximum and 16.4°C as the minimum, both below normal. Rajkot saw a maximum of 31.9°C and a notably low minimum of 12.6°C, while Vadodara recorded 29.6°C and 14.0°C. The state capital Gandhinagar experienced a maximum of 29.5°C, with the minimum dipping to 13.5°C, nearly 3°C below normal.
Among the colder pockets of the state, Dahod reported the lowest minimum at 10.6°C, followed by Naliya at 10.8°C, indicating a stronger winter onset in northern and eastern Gujarat. Porbandar also recorded a sharp dip of 5.3°C below normal, with the night temperature settling at 13.7°C. Meanwhile, warmer coastal locations such as Okha (22.4°C) and Veraval (18.5°C) remained the least cold areas. No rainfall was recorded at any station.
Humidity levels at 8:30 am ranged from 52% to 100%, with the highest in Dang. Evening humidity showed a sharp decline across most stations. Dry weather and cooler mornings are expected to continue as winter conditions gradually strengthen across Gujarat. DeshGujarat
