Road closure, traffic diversion announced in Surat for Metro work

Surat: Traffic movement on the road from Parvat Patiya to Kharwarnagar (Rokadia Char Rasta) will remain completely closed for two days due to ongoing Metro rail construction work. The closure applies to all types of vehicles as well as pedestrians.
According to an official notification issued by Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot, the road will remain shut from 10 pm on November 22 to 4 am on November 24, 2025.
Alternate routes announced
To facilitate traffic flow during the restriction period, the police have advised motorists to use the designated diversion routes:

Heavy vehicles and four-wheelers arriving from the National Highway or Reshma Circle can take a left turn from Kangaroo Circle (Puna Patiya) towards Dindoli and Sai Point, leading to Navsari Main Road and the airport.

Vehicles from Parvat Patiya can use Ring Road towards Surat Railway Station and the airport.

Four-wheelers, two-wheelers and other small vehicles from Parvat Patiya can proceed via Vallabh Chowk → Dumbhal Fire T-junction → Maharana Pratap Crossroads → Bharwad Nagar Garnala → Udhna Railway Overbridge / Bhimnagar Garnala.

Vehicles reaching Samat School Junction can:

Turn right towards Salabatpura, or
-
Turn left towards Limbayat Kamrunagar Chowki Road, or
-
Proceed towards Godadara, Dindoli and Udhna Railway Station via Dumbhal Fire T-junction.

Action against violators
The Police Commissioner has warned that strict action will be taken against motorists or pedestrians who violate the order.
