Amit Shah to launch projects worth ₹2,395 crore in Ahmedabad on Dec 7

Ahmedabad: The Union Home Minister will visit his home state of Gujarat this Sunday. During this visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) worth over ₹2,300 crore.
As per the official release, in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Shah will inaugurate 15 development works worth ₹618.27 crore, alongside two housing projects totaling ₹127.67 crore. Additionally, the foundation stone will be laid for 13 new projects valued at ₹540.78 crore. In total, 30 projects covering infrastructure, housing, and urban development will be dedicated to the public at a combined cost of ₹1,286.72 crore.
In the Ahmedabad East and West Lok Sabha constituencies, Shah will inaugurate 15 AMC projects worth ₹273.94 crore, along with laying the foundation stone for 23 other works valued at ₹835.11 crore. This brings the total to 38 projects in these constituencies, with a combined cost of ₹1,109.05 crore.
Overall, the AMC will launch 68 development projects across Ahmedabad, with a total investment of ₹2,395.77 crore. These projects are expected to enhance urban infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, parks, green spaces, and civic amenities, significantly contributing to the city’s overall development in the coming years.
Among the works to be launched at the hands of Amit Shah are the inauguration of the redeveloped Electrotherm Garden at Ghuma, the inauguration of the redeveloped Vastrapur pond, the inauguration of a new open party plot near Manav Mandir, the mini sports complex at Gota ward (groundbreaking), the sports complex under the Ranip GST railway underbridge, the gym and library at Ranip ward TP 66 FP 267, the inauguration of the redeveloped 350 housing units at Natna Chhapra in Naranpura ward, the inauguration of the Shakri pond in Sarkhej ward, and the inauguration of the 861 EWS housing units in Thaltej ward. It is learned that Shah will visit the Ranip-based gym and library and sports complex. He will also perform the groundbreaking of the proposed mini sports complex at Gota and hold a public meeting.
