December 02, 2025
Ahmedabad: A further dip in minimum temperatures was recorded across several parts of Gujarat on Tuesday, as winter conditions continued to strengthen. According to the IMD’s weather report issued at 8:30 am on December 2, the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Naliya at 10°C, which was 3.2°C below normal, making it the coldest location in the state.
Most major cities reported below-normal or near-normal night temperatures. Rajkot (15.8°C, -0.2°C), Surat (17.6°C, -0.6°C), Porbandar (17.2°C, -0.3°C), Diu (15.6°C, -0.2°C) and Baroda (15.4°C, -0.4°C) all registered slight departures below normal, indicating a steady cooling trend.
Ahmedabad recorded a minimum of 16.5°C, which was 1.3°C above normal, while Gandhinagar logged 15.5°C, marginally 0.8°C above normal.
Though daytime temperatures remained close to normal, cooler nights combined with moderate early-morning humidity—ranging from 65% in Daman to 87% in Porbandar enhanced the winter chill during morning hours. No rainfall was reported from any station.
As northerly winds continue to affect the region, the IMD expects the minimum temperatures to fall further over the next couple of days, intensifying winter conditions across state. DeshGujarat
