Gujarat CM reviews 27 key projects worth ₹11,360 crore

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday held the fourth high-level review meeting to assess the progress of 27 high-impact projects worth ₹11,360 crore across railways, industries, mines and urban development. The CM reiterated that all projects must be completed within stipulated timelines with no compromise on quality, an official statement said.

The meeting is part of the CM’s ongoing review mechanism covering 146 major projects aimed at accelerating Gujarat’s development. So far, three such comprehensive review meetings have been held, evaluating progress on 67 projects.

During Wednesday’s meeting, Patel said the high-impact infrastructure works are crucial for integrated and holistic development aligned with the Developed India @2047 vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also directed the Revenue Department to ensure quick resolution of land-related issues affecting railway projects.

Railway Projects Reviewed (₹4,190.69 crore):

The review covered six projects, including the four-lane Samkhiyali–Gandhidham railway line, doubling of the Rajkot–Kanalus 122 km line, new broad-gauge connectivity between Naliya–Vayor and Naliya–Jakhau, and gauge conversion works on the Bijapur and Bijapur–Ambliasan sections.

Industries & Mines Projects (₹3,657.62 crore):

Key reviews included Phase-1 development of the Dholera Greenfield Airport, a 65 MLD water-supply scheme at PM Mitra Park in Navsari, the Bulk Drug Park, the Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal in Morbi, and the 90 MLD deep-sea effluent disposal pipeline at Saikha, Bharuch. The Chief Minister stressed timely completion of the effluent pipeline. Officials reported that most airport works are nearing completion, with major work orders already issued.

Urban Development Projects (₹3,511.91 crore):

The meeting assessed progress on the 14 MW Waste-to-Energy Plant in Ahmedabad, Phases 1–5 of the Kharikat Canal Development, the Gandhi Ashram Redevelopment, and a PPP-model slum rehabilitation project in Vadaj under the Smart City Mission. Updates were also shared on the Jamnagar Lalpur Bypass four-lane flyover, the BRTS flyover in Surat and Junagadh’s underground drainage project.
