Gujarat launches AI Stack, Cloud Adoption Guidelines; MoUs inked for Multilingual AI, Cable Landing Station

Ahmedabad: Key announcements were made at the AI Impact Regional Conference, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, highlighting Gujarat’s push toward becoming an AI-driven state.

The Gujarat AI Stack was launched, introducing six “plug-and-play” AI tools for government departments. These include Agriculture AI, Scheme Eligibility Verification, Procurement Chatbot, Grievance Classifier, Document Extractor, and Chat Management Tool. The tools aim to make governance faster, more accurate, and citizen-centric.

In a major step toward strengthening digital infrastructure, the Gujarat Cloud Adoption Guidelines 2025 were unveiled. The guidelines are designed to make the state’s digital governance more secure, scalable, and AI-ready, enabling easier access to MeitY-empanelled cloud services and national GPU compute resources.

Two significant MoUs were also signed during the event:

  1. Gujarat Government – Google – BHASHINI: A strategic partnership for multilingual AI, development of Gujarati language models, and enhancing digital public services.

  2. Gujarat Government – GIFT City – Henox: An agreement to establish a Cable Landing Station (CLS) in Gujarat, positioning the state as a hub for global digital connectivity and promoting green data centers.

These initiatives mark a significant step toward making Gujarat a leader in AI-driven governance and global digital infrastructure. DeshGujarat
